A little wish turning into BIG dreams
Everyone that knows me knows I have a soft spot for dogs and firefighters...So when I was looking for a way to give back this initiative was perfect. It quickly became my mission to see if these kits were needed and create a dream team to make it happen!
Fire Hall Donations
Devon Fire - 1 Kit
When I approached the Devon Fire Department to see if there was a need/want for these kits I got two thumbs up. They have an old kit, that was in desperate need of replacement. On January 8, 2019 our dream team presented Chief Main of the Devon Fire Department with their new Oxygen Pet Mask Kit!
Our dream team consists of Barb Nyland, Alyssa Deans, Christine Wales & Courtney Rosborough.
Sturgeon County Fire Department - 8 Kits
In October I approached the Sturgeon County Fire Department. After talking to their Fire Chief, he assessed that eight kits would cover their needs. Theses kits would stock Legal, Calahoo, Namao, Gibbons, Redwater, Bon Accord and two kits in Morinville. He also came up with $500 to help pay for some of his kits. This is amazing as it now allows us to help more Fire Departments.
On December 18, 2019 Our Dream Team presented this amazing crew with eight Oxygen Pet Mask Kits!

Fort Saskatchewan Fire Department - 2 Kits
I approached the Fort Saskatchewan Fire Hall for our next donation. Combined Alyssa and I have over 20 dogs in our Dog Shoppe Family living in the Fort. After some discussion with the Fire Hall it was determined that two kits would cover their needs.
This was a collaboration between The City of Fort Saskatchewan and The Dog Shoppe. They purchased one kit and we donated the other. This collaboration is amazing as it now allows us to help more Fire Departments who many not be able to help with any costs.

Buck Lake/Alder Flats - 1 Kit
I reached out to Wetaskiwin County for our next donations. The Fire Chief of Alder Flats/Buck Lake let me know he was interested in stocking his hall with a kit. They purchased their kit allowing us to help more Fire Departments who many not be able to purchase their own.
Fire Fighters Aid Ukraine - 4 Kits
We reached out to Fire Fighters Aid Ukraine when we say there need for fire & first aid gear. They were very excited to have 4 kits donated. They were shipped to the Ukraine in February 2023
Devon Fire - 1 Kit
Back to where it all began...Devon Fire had expanded it's fleet and wanted each engine to be stocked with identical gear. No matter what truck was dispatched, there will always an Oxygen Pet Mask kit available.
